The meeting place

Where was the shape of post-Napoleonic Europe mapped out? In a pub. Where did Crick and Watson announce the secret of life? In a pub. Where does your PTA meet? If they know what they're doing, in a pub. The importance of the pub for meetings, whether small or large, has rarely been celebrated. From great matters of state to deciding where to go for dinner, the pub has long been an ideal spot for examining all the options in the best possible environment. I've done my best to correct this gap in the records here.
